Beautifully filmed in stunning Scottish surroundings, this new pre-school series will provide inspirational starting points for ways to connect young children with the wild environment as well as introducing the historical Viking period in a simple, charming and totally captivating way.

Gudrun is a nine-year old Viking princess, the oldest child of King Sigurd. She’s being instructed in the ways of the world by her father to prepare for the day she becomes Queen of the Northern Lands!
In ten enchanting stories of the Viking world, we discover the Wild Way of the Vikings – how they travelled to distant lands, encountering wild and wonderful landscapes full of new and exciting creatures!

Glasgow-based independent film company Maramedia, specialists in natural history documentaries, are behind the show which has been produced through their bespoke children's brand Marakids. The first series comprises of ten 5-minute episodes, with a further ten episodes set to follow in June 2018. The series will also be versioned in Gaelic for BBC Alba with transmission to be announced for 2018.
