Olivia Colman Would Love David Tennant To Join Her In Netflix's The Crown

Olivia Colman has revealed to RadioTimes.com that she would love her Broadchurch co star David Tennant to join her on her new series, The Crown.

Olivia was announced to be taking over the role of Queen Elizabeth II from Claire Foy last month and she will play the monarch for series 3 and series 4 of the hit Netflix drama.

The role of Prince Phillip is yet to be announced for the next two series and David Tennant is currently leading in a poll created by Radio Times to find out who viewers would like to see take on the part.
When told about David's lead in the poll Olivia said "Oh can you imagine, how much fun! We’d never get anything done, we’d just chat all day. That would be heaven!"

It would certainly be ironic of David did land the role of the Prince as the young Phillip is currently being played by Matt Smith, David's successor in Doctor Who.

Series 2 Of The Crown starring Claire Foy and Matt Smith will premiere on Netflix on 8th December 2017.
