Quacktastic news for readers in Australia and New Zealand - the new series of DuckTales, staring David Tennant as Scrooge McDuck, launches on Friday 13th October!
The highly acclaimed reboot of the much-loved 1980s cartoon will launch at 7.00pm across the whole Disney network, with the first episode, an hour long special called 'Woo-oo!', simulcast across Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior. The episode will then run on a loop on Disney XD throughout the night.
David Tennant takes on the role of daredevil trillionaire Scrooge McDuck, who reluctantly takes on the care of his three great nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie, when their uncle and guardian Donald takes on a new job. The boys' arrival at McDuck Manor stirs up past resentment between Scrooge and Donald, but at the same time reawakens in Scrooge a long-buried sense of adventure. Aided and abetted by Scrooge's inept driver Launchpad McQuack, his loyal housekeeper Mrs Beakley and her granddaughter Webby Vanderquack, it isn't long before the family embarks on a new set of escapades and face hazards and foes old and new.
Joining David in the voice cast are Danny Pudi (Huey), Ben Schwartz (Dewey), Bobby Moynihan (Louie), Toks Olagundoye (Mrs Beakley), Kate Micucci (Webby) and Beck Bennett (Launchpad).
