American fans of Broadchurch are eagerly awaiting the arrival on their screens of the third and final season of the award-winning UK drama, which premieres at 10pm/9c on BBC America on Wednesday 28th June.
Ahead of that, the network will be giving a sneak peek of what viewers can expect when Detectives Alec Hardy and Ellie Miller (David Tennant and Olivia Colman) reunite to unravel another mystery in the small eponymous seaside town. A 4-minute long first glimpse of the new season will air in the early hours of Saturday morning, or late Friday night depending on your time zone, at 1am/12c.
Broadchurch Season 3 sees Hardy and Miller called upon to investigate the report of a serious sexual assault that took place at a party. Returning cast members include Arthur Darvill, Jodie Whittaker and Andrew Buchan; they are joined by new faces Sir Lenny Henry, Julie Hesmondhalgh, Roy Hudd, Charlie Higson, Sarah Parish and Mark Bazeley. Broadchurch was written and produced by Chris Chibnall, who will soon be taking up the reins of Doctor Who.
