TV
David has just been seen in the third and final series of the award winning ITV drama Broadchurch. Series three of Broadchurch saw a brand new storyline as Hardy and Miller were reunited to investigate a serious sexual assault. The programme makers spent a year researching with Dorset-based organisations who specialise in dealing with victims of sexual assault, and police advisors who specialise in investigating crimes of sexual violence. Chris Chibnall has received advice from two of Dorset's specialist sexual assault advice and support agencies throughout the writing process. Broadchurch’s final chapter looks at the emotional cost to all of those involved and the irreparable damage to friendships and relationships.
An airing of the series on BBC America in the US will follow later this year as well as worldwide releases on DVD and Blu-ray.

Film
2017 looks set to be a big year for David in the cinema with five film projects all expected to be released.
David plays a villainous role in the Dean Devlin directed thriller, Bad Samaritan, which centres on two young car valets who use their business as a front to case the homes of their wealthy clients with a view to burgling them. The scam is working out well for them, until one day they target the wrong house and the pair stumble across a woman being held captive in a home they intended to rob. It's thought to be released towards the end of 2017.
Mad To Be Normal, which David filmed early 2016, is out in selected UK cinemas now. The film is set in the 1960s and stars David as the renowned Scottish psychiatrist Ronnie Laing, the so called acid-Marxist who rejected the accepted medical model of mental illness in order to focus on the personal emotional journeys of each of his patients. In 1965, Laing and a group of colleagues created the Philadelphia Association and started a unique psychiatric community project at Kingsley Hall, where patients and therapists lived together. He was often criticised for his techniques, which included the occasional use of the drug LSD.
You, Me And Him is expected to be the big hit of Christmas 2017.
The film tells the story of two women’s differing experiences with pregnancy. One, Alex, is a 40-year-old magistrate, the other, Olivia, a carefree party girl. The twist is that they are in a relationship with each other. The action will unfold over a 12 month timeframe. David takes on the role of the couple’s neighbour, John, a Casanova style character who is responsible for one of the pregnancies.
David also joins kid's favourite Fireman Sam for a feature length adventure in Fireman Sam: Alien Alert.
Everyone's favourite firefighting hero is set to thrill his pre-school audience when the hour-long special opens in cinemas in the UK in early 2017. David voices the comedic villain Buck Douglas, the fame hungry presenter of the TV show Alien Quest, who arrives in the little Welsh town of Pontypandy to investigate some unexplained phenomena.
Most recently it;s been announced that David will also be the vocal talent behind Angus, a cartoon bull, in the huge Christmas 2017 animated release Ferdinand from 20th Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios.
There will no doubt be more projects confirmed for David throughout the year, please keep reading www.david-tennant.com for all the latest news.
