David Tennant Nominated In 2017 Audie Awards



Two David Tennant-narrated audio books have been nominated in the 2017 Audie Awards, sponsored by the Audio Publishers Association. Finalists for the 22nd annual awards were announced today and David is nominated in the Audio Drama category for his return as the Tenth Doctor, alongside Catherine Tate as Donna Noble, in Death and the Queen, one of three greatly celebrated new Doctor Who audio adventures from Big Finish. He is also shortlisted in the Middle Grade category for his character-packed narration of the final volume in Cressida Cowell's How To Train Your Dragon series, How To Fight A Dragon's Fury.

David's nominations are:

The Audies represent the premier awards programme in the United States recognizing distinction in audiobooks and spoken-word entertainment with titles nominated by publishers and rights holders. The winners will be honoured at the Audie Awards Gala at the French Institute Alliance Française in New York City on June 1st hosted by award-winning comedian and author, Paula Poundstone.
