The new issue of the TV Times has a preview of what viewers can look forward to when Broadchurch returns to UK screens in February. It's three years on when we rejoin Hardy and Miller and whilst Alec is still worrying about his daughter, Ellie has moved on from husband Joe and faces new difficulties thanks to her elderly dad, played by Roy Hudd.
The article contains new information on cast playing new characters such as Julie Hesmondhalgh who will play Trish Winterman, the victim of a serious sexual assault that Hardy and Miller must investigate.
Sir Lenny Henry also joins the cast as Ed Burnett, the owner of the local farm shop and Sarah Parish as Trish's best friend Cath Atwood, married to fellow newcomer Mark Bazeley as garage owner Jim.
Georgina Campbell plays new DC Katie Harford who will team up with Hardy and Miller to work on the case. They will be joined by returning cast members Jodie Whittaker, Arthur Darvill, Andrew Buchan, Carolyn Pickles, Charlotte Beaumont and Adam Wilson.
