The documentary A Grand Night In: The Story Of Aardman is now available to stream on Netflix in selected territories around the world. David Tennant is one of a number of celebrities asked to share their memories of the Bristol based animation company behind the Wallace & Gromit films, Chicken Run and kids' TV show Shaun The Sheep. David voiced a young Charles Darwin in the 2012 comedy feature The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists (a.k.a. The Pirates! Band Of Misfits). The programme was originally shown on BBC One in late December last year to celebrate Aardman's 40th anniversary.
A Grand Night In: The Story of Aardman looks at the
award-winning company's work across film, television and advertising. The
special, which is narrated by English actress Julie Walters, features bespoke animation of Aardman characters Wallace, Gromit and Morph. It sees a number of celebrities, including Martin Freeman, Jane Horrocks, David Tennant
