Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Star On David Tennant: "A World Class Actor"

When season 4 of Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles resumes next month, it will sadly be without the Fugitoid, the fan favourite character brought to vibrant life by the vocal talents of David Tennant. The cyborg scientist had been the gang's mentor and protector during the first 14 episodes of this season, which saw the Turtles travelling in space and time in an attempt to avert the destruction of Earth seen at the climax of season 3.

The TMNT cast were on hand at last weekend's San Diego Comic Con to discuss the characters' return to New York, and Rob Paulsen, who voices Donatello, took the opportunity to pay a final tribute to David.

"Not only do you get to work with your buddies, but having David Tennant on our show, even though he was not in the room with us, they had to record him from Scotland or England, but David ‘freaking’ Tennant!" he said. "He is a world class actor from every angle and that was a huge thrill for me, just to be able to 'work'- in quotes - with David."
