PHOTOS & VIDEO: David Tennant & Olivia Colman Filming Broadchurch In West Bay


The cast and crew of Broadchurch were back in West Bay as filming on series 3 continues in the UK's West Country. The cameras were rolling in the Dorset resort which stands in for the titular seaside town, as David Tennant and Olivia Colman filmed scenes by a fast food kiosk yesterday afternoon. Filming for the award winning drama continued late in to the night on the pier.

Series 3 will see David Tennant and Olivia Colman returning to the roles of  Detectives Alec Hardy and Ellie Miller for one last time This time they'll be investigating a serious sexual assault in a storyline that has seen series creator Chris Chibnall working closely with specialist police advisors and local support organisations who deal with the victims of sexual violence.


Other familiar faces set to return include Jodie Whittaker, Andrew Buchan and Arthur Darvill. They'll be joined by newcomers Julie Hesmondhalgh, Georgina Campbell, Charlie Higson and Sir Lenny Henry. Broadchurch is expected to launch on ITV in the UK in early 2017.
