PHOTOS: David Tennant, Olivia Colman & Lenny Henry Shoot Football Scenes At West Bay For Broadchurch
David Tennant and Olivia Colman are continuing to film the third series of Broadchurch at West Bay in Dorset this week, and the set has been joined by some other familiar faces. The action was captured by West Country photograher Neil Barnes who has shared the shots via the West Bay Pictures Facebook page.
Today shooting took place on East Beach with DI Hardy (David Tennant) spotted striding through a five-a-side football game. Also involved was hotly anticipated new cast member Sir Lenny Henry, who looked to be taking part in the footie action.
Olivia Colman, who plays Ellie Miller, was spotted yesterday larking around with Georgina Campbell, who is also making her debut in the show. Meanwhile, fans of Olivia's comedy series Peep Show may also be pleased to see her former co-star Jim Howick (Horrible Histories, Stag) on set.
The third and final series of Broadchurch finds David Tennant
and Olivia Colman again returning to the roles of mismatched detectives Alec
Hardy and Ellie Miller, this time to investigate a serious sexual assault.
Series creator Chris Chibnall has worked closely with specialist police
advisors and local support organisations who deal with the victims of sexual
violence in developing the scripts. Also returning are Jodie Whittaker, Andrew
Buchan and Arthur Darvill, while other new cast members include Julie
Hesmondhalgh, Sarah Parish, Roy Hudd and Charlie Higson.
The series is expected to debut early in 2017.
