The Peabody Awards Board of Jurors today announced the Entertainment and Children’s programs that are among this year’s Peabody 30 winners. The 11 honorees, revealed live on NBC’s Today show this morning incuded Marvel's Jessica Jones. David Tennant features as the villainous, mind-controlling Kilgrave in the 13 part series which is exclusive to Netflix. Krysten Ritter stars as a former superhero, the titular Jones, now retired and keeping a low profile as a private detective in New York's Hell's Kitchen. However her world is rocked when she discovers that Kilgrave, her former tormentor, is back and is looking for her. The drama also stars Mike Colter, Carrie-Anne Moss and Rachael Taylor.
The gala will be televised in a 90-minute special, “The 75th Anniversary Peabody Awards,” airing on Pivot, Monday, June 6 (8 p.m. ET/PT).
