USA EVENT: David Tennant Makes His US Theatre Debut In Richard II Tonight

David Tennant makes his debut on the US stage this evening when he premieres his UK award winning role as Richard II for American audiences for the first time ever as part of the Royal Shakespeare Company's King And Country event.

David will be performing the play just ten times at BAM in Brooklyn, making this one of the hottest tickets in town for his US fans. The event sold out almost as soon as tickets went on sale, but you may want to check with the venue for returns.

The dates David will be appearing are as follows:

Thursday 24th March - 7.30pm
Friday 1st April - 7.30pm
Tuesday 5th April - 7.30pm
Friday 8th April - 7.30pm
Tuesday 12th April - 7.30pm
Thursday 14th April - 7.30pm
Sunday 17th April - 3.00pm
Tuesday 19th April - 7.30pm
Tuesday 26th April - 7.30pm
Friday 29th April - 7.30pm

About the play:
Richard is King. A monarch ordained by God to lead his people. But he is also a man of very human weakness. A man whose vanity threatens to divide the great houses of England and drag his people into a dynastic civil war that will last 100 years. RSC Artistic Director Gregory Doran directs David Tennant in the title role.
