US PREMIERE: David Tennant Guest Stars In New Jake & The Never Land Pirates Episode Today

David Tennant returns as Dread the Evil Genie in a new episode of Jake And The Never Land Pirates, premiering on Disney Channel in the USA today. Dread The Pharoah! sees the return of the villainous character last seen trying to drain Pip the Pirate Genie of his magical powers. The popular pre-school show is set in the world of Disney's Peter Pan and follows the adventures of a young pirate and his friends as they try to outwit Captain Hook and his crew.

The ex-genie Dread is freed from his bottle by the Pirate Pharaoh's mummy cat and tries to regain his magical powers. David Tennant and Aasif Mandvi recur as Dread and Pirate Pharaoh respectively, joining regular cast members Sean Ryan Fox, Megan Richie, Jadon Sand and David Arquette. 

The episode is repeated later today at 8.00pm ET on Disney Junior and on Friday at 6.30am ET/PT and Saturday at 6.00am ET/PT and 11.55am on Disney Channel.
