The producers of the upcoming movie Mad To Be Normal have given eager fans a sneak peek behind the scenes in a new batch on on-set photos.
The UK feature is a biopic of the controversial Scottish psychiatrist R.D. Laing, who introduced revolutionary concepts in the treatment of patients with mental health problems during the 1960s and 1970s. David Tennant plays the maverick Laing in the film that tells the story of the anti-psychiatry methods he espoused and the contentious experimental medication-free community that he set up in Kingsley Hall in London. Other cast include Michael Gambon, Elisabeth Moss and Gabriel Byrne.
The film is written and directed by Robert Mullen and is scheduled for release later this year.
The photos show Robert Mullen, DoP Ali Asad, with actors David Tennant, Lucie Glynn, Adam Paul Harvey, Tom Richards, Olivia Poulet and James Utechin.
