PHOTOS - Festive Throwback Thursday: David Tennant Stars In Nativity 2: Danger In The Manger!

As Christmas creeps closer, here's the next in or festive throwbacks to some of David Tennant's Christmas themed projects.

In 2012, David starred in Nativity 2: Danger In The Manger!, the fully improvised follow-up to the family-friendly musical comedy Nativity! Filmed during late 2011 in North Wales and Warwickshire, the film also starred Marc Wootton, Jason Watkins, Joanna Page, Jessica Hynes and Ian McNeice. David played battling twin brothers, one a struggling primary school teacher, the other a successful composer and conductor.

Mr Peterson (David Tennant), an over-anxious new supply teacher takes on a notorious class at St. Bernadette's Primary School. Already stressed out with a heavily pregnant wife (Joanna Page) and an overbearing father (Ian McNeice), things take a turn for the worse when he is swept up in a scheme dreamed up by anarchic classroom assistant Mr. Poppy (Marc Wootton) to take the kids out of school to compete in a national Song For Christmas contest. Now the class are stuck in the Welsh mountains with a baby and a donkey in tow, and even if they do make the contest venue in time, Mr. Peterson still has his brother's choir to defeat to win the prize.
