Radio Times have released a video interview with David Tennant chatting about his character Kilgrave in Marvel's Jessica Jones.
David was quick to defend the unscrupulous supervillain after the interviewer referred to him as b**tard, but he may be the only one with any sympathy of Kilgrave...
Talking about Kilgrave he said "He gets quite a bad rap from everyone else, they see him as a fairly irredeemable character, actually as the series progresses you do get to see a bit of the background and find out as to why he is the way he is and while we may not forgive all his misdemeanors we can at least begin to understand why he does what he does As he says in the show if everyone around you does as you ask how can you tell if they want to do it or not? He lives in a very peculiar bubble..and he's misunderstood."
When asked what he would do if he was given Kilgrave's powers of mind control David joked "I don't like to dream, I don't want to go there, it takes me to too dark a place"
Jessica Jones drops on Netflix 20 November.
