The second series of the award-winning crime drama Broadchurch will be repeated in the UK on ITV Encore from Wednesday 11th November.
David Tennant and Olivia Colman return in the critically
acclaimed crime drama set in a Dorset seaside town. In the first series, the
murder of 11-year-old Danny Latimer rocked Broadchurch, as newly arrived DI
Alec Hardy and lifelong resident DS Ellie Miller led the investigation. Many
local residents came under suspicion and the revelation of the killer's identity
had far-reaching consequences. Now the case has gone to trial and the whole
town waits for the culprit to receive his sentence, but a last minute twist
re-opens painful wounds. Meanwhile, an old case returns to haunt Hardy and he
turns to the only person he thinks can help him – Ellie.
Andrew Buchan, Jodie Whittaker and Arthur Darvill also return, joined by new cast members Eve Myles, Charlotte Rampling, Marianne Jean-Baptiste and James D'Arcy. Broadchurch is written and executive produced by Chris Chibnall for ITV.
Episodes will air weekly on Wednesday nights from 9pm GMT on Sky subscriber channel ITV Encore. The series will also be viewable on demand via Sky Go and NOW TV.
