David Tennant is recording his guest appearance on the BBC One comedy panel show Room 101 at Elstree Studios later today.
The long-running comedy moan-fest sees stars try to get
their pet peeves banished to Room 101 - the title is of course a reference to
the room of horrors created by George Orwell in the classic novel 1984. Each
episode sees host Frank Skinner encourage three celebrities to reveal what rubs
them up the wrong way, and he chooses the most deserving to be eliminated
forever. Room 101 has been on the air since 1994, with Frank Skinner
taking over from original host Paul Merton in 2005, when the show changed to
the current three guest format.
Appearing alongside David on the show tonight are veteran broadcaster Sir Trevor McDonald and Irish actress and comedian Aisling Bea.
The broadcast date for the show has not yet been confirmed;
however since Frank took over, new series have launched in January following
their autumn taping. David’s show is the seventh in the eight-show block
although actual broadcast order may vary. Other guests across the series
include Meera Syal, Greg Davies, Katherine Parkinson, Noel Fielding and Shaun
Ryder.
