BAM Confirms On Sale Dates For Tickets To See David Tennant Perform Richard II In New York



The Brooklyn Academy of Music have now confirmed that tickets for the New York run of King & Country: Shakespeare's Great Cycle Of Kings will go on sale in November. 

The Royal Shakespeare Company's productions of four history plays - Richard II, Henry IV Parts 1 & 2 and Henry V - will be performed in New York between March 24th - May 1st 2016. David Tennant will be reprising his award-winning performance as King Richard in Richard II as the Cycle transfers across the Atlantic following a short winter season at the Barbican Theatre in London. The Cycle runs at BAM Harvey Theater in Brooklyn; specific performance dates have yet to be announced.

Tickets for the King & Country Cycle along with the rest of BAM's 2016 Winter/Spring season will be available from November 9th to BAM Members and November 16th to the general public.

Marking the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare, BAM, the Royal Shakespeare Company, and The Ohio State University present King and Country: Shakespeare’s Great Cycle of Kings, comprising the four plays Richard II; Henry IV, Part I; Henry IV, Part II; Henry V. David Tennant returns in the title role of Richard II, Antony Sher and Jasper Britton play Falstaff and Henry IV respectively in the Henry IV plays, and Alex Hassell continues the journey of young Prince Hal, who reaches maturity as Henry V in the final play of the tetralogy. The plays are directed by the RSC's Artistic Director Gregory Doran.
