David Tennant is one of many stars to be featured on a new
edition of the hit ITV archive show You Saw Them Here First: Hall Of Fame which
airs tonight at 8pm.
ITV turns 60 this month and as part of the celebrations the network has been raiding the archives to put together a brand new collection of clips. Presenters, comedians, TV detectives, soap stars… they all had to start somewhere, and You Saw Them Here First showcases the first steps in television of some of ITV’s biggest names.

As well as a young David, the programme features early appearances
from Ant and Dec, Davina McCall, Holly Willoughby, Jonathan Ross, Judy
Finnigan, Paul O’Grady, Richard Madeley, Robson Green, Sarah
Lancashire, Sheridan Smith, Stephen Mulhern and many more. Look out too for David's Broadchurch co-star Olivia Colman in a 2004 advert for the AA.
In a new feature, some very special guests
will also find themselves inducted into the ‘Hall of Fame’, with a personal
screening of their earliest works in the show’s hilarious confessional video
booth. A highlight of the show sees Sir Bruce Forsyth watching his presenting
debut on Sunday Night at the London Palladium back in 1959. Lorraine Kelly
cringes at her first reports for TV-am in 1984, Phillip Schofield relives his
1994 debut on ITV hosting Talking Telephone Numbers, TV detective Kevin Whately
owns up about his previous job as Kevin the truck driver in Coronation Street
in 1981, and Weatherfield’s duo Barbara Knox and Thelma Barlow are reunited as
they look back at their respective careers before life in the Kabin.
