David Tennant is one of many stars to be featured on a new edition of the hit ITV archive show You Saw Them Here First: Hall Of Fame.
ITV turns 60 this month and as part of the celebrations the network has been raiding the archives to put together a brand new collection of clips. Presenters, comedians, TV detectives, soap stars… they all had to start somewhere, and You Saw Them Here First showcases the first steps in television of some of ITV’s biggest names.
The stars popping up in their early appearances in entertainment,
news, drama and adverts include Broadchurch stars David Tennant and Olivia
Colman, multi-award winning entertainers Ant and Dec, presenters Davina McCall
and Holly Willoughby, chat show hosts Jonathan Ross, Richard Madeley and Judy
Finnigan and Sheridan Smith, the star of Cilla, among many others.
Although there are no details of which shows will be
featured, David Tennant appeared in a number of ITV programmes and the occasional ad campaign early on in his
career. His first TV role was in the 1988 kids’ show Dramarama and other shows included The Bill
(1995), Holding The Baby (1997) and Duck Patrol (1998).
You Saw Them Here First: Hall Of Fame airs on Wednesday 2nd
September at 8pm BST on ITV.
