Good news if you run or are a member of a community group or venue with an interest in the arts - the live stage recording of Richard II is available for the first time for public screenings outside of cinemas. The 2013 film will soon be added to the catalogue of Cinegi for a limited period, allowing public venues such as arts centres, community centres and village halls to host their own public screenings.
David Tennant starred as King Richard in the Royal Shakespeare Company staging of Shakespeare's Richard II, directed by Gregory Doran, from October 2013 till January 2014. He was voted Best Actor for his performance by theatre audiences in the 2015 WhatsOnStage Awards and it was recently announced that he will be reprising the role in 2016 for limited runs in London and New York. The stage performance on 13th November 2013 was filmed for live broadcast to cinemas around the UK and has also been shown on screens around the world.
The recording will be available between 7th - 30th September only and can be booked from just £99.
