Burton, a brilliant defense lawyer coined "The Escape Artist" for his
infamous ability to free criminals. When Burton helps to free an obviously-guilty
client based on a technicality, his life takes a dramatic turn. The series also stars Ashley Jensen, Toby Kebbell and Sophie Okonedo.

David was presented with the British Academy Scotland Award in 2014
for Best Actor for his performance as the drama.
