Watch David Tennant pick up his Best Actor award in a new highlights video released by WhatsOnStage covering some of the top moments from last night's ceremony.
David was presented with the award for Best Actor In A Play in the 15th Annual WhatsOnStage Awards, the only major theatre awards that are wholly decided by the votes of the theatre-going public. David was honoured for his performance in the lead role in the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Richard II which played at the Barbican Theatre last winter.
"Thank you to everyone who voted. What a wonderful thing, thank you so much!" he said from the stage as he accepted his prize which he later described as a huge accolade.
