David Tennant's new documentary series Pets - Wild At Heart opened at 8pm on BBC One last night to an audience of 3.49 million viewers, a share of 15.7%. David narrates the two part series created by John Downer Productions which takes a look at the latent instincts of the animals that share our homes.
The new series was up against the National Television Awards on ITV which averaged 6.3 million (28.1%) between 7.30-10pm. Viewers saw David Tennant present the award for Best Drama Performance and also receive the Special Recognition Award.
Pets - Wild At Heart continues at 8pm on Wednesday 28th January on BBC One.
