What We Did On Our Holiday


What We Did On Our Holiday premiered in London on September 22nd ahead of its general release on the 26th. The premiere was attended by David with most of the film’s main stars, including the three children, Emilia Jones, Bobby Smalldridge and Harriet Bullmore. More premiere photos here, here and here.
A number of video interview clips from the red carpet were released:

Metro hosted a new trailer clip and Lionsgate released new TV trailers and a preview clip. A further clip appeared via the Huffington Post.
David talked to RTÉ about making the film. He was interviewed on set by young reporter Anna of Into Films.

Gracepoint


FOX TV released a new TV trailer for Gracepoint. They also launched the suspecteveryone.com website where fans could vote for their suspects and review clues. Some new promotional photos featuring David were released .
Series stars David Tennant and Anna Gunn spoke to EntertainmentWeekly and likened themselves to Cagney and Lacey. David spoke to local Victoria paper the Times Colonist about his role and appeared on Entertainment Tonight. Anna described David as a ‘kind and open human being’.
David’s video profile of Emmett Carver was posted online and he also appeared in Jacki Weaver’s video profile on Susan Wright.
The Universal Channel in Australia announced that they would be airing Gracepoint from October 3rd and released a teaser clip.
The first two episodes of Gracepoint screened at LACMA in LA, with most of the cast members attending, including David.

Broadchurch
Talking on the red carpet at the What We Did On Our Holiday premiere David hinted that more of Alec Hardy’s family details would be revealed in the new series of Broadchurch. He also talked to Christian O’Connell on Absolute Radio about the extreme precautions taken to keep the series’ secrets.
Meera Syal was confirmed as a new series 2 cast member and actor Joe Sims confirmed that he was returning as Nige Carter for series 2.
A preview of the new series was shown at the ITV Upfronts to a universally positive reaction.
As shooting on the second series approached the end, David confessed that he was looking forward to having a shave.
Broadchurch premiered on Antena 3 in Spain and on WOWOW in Japan

Doctor Who


The Ultimate Time Lord and The Ultimate Companion with contributions from David aired in Australia.
Titan Comics unveiled artwork from further issues of the Tenth Doctor series.

Postman Pat: The Movie


Postman Pat: The Movie began airing on Sky Box Office in the UK
David appeared in a couple of clips posted via The Express talking about the movie and his character Wilf.

TV
The Politician’s Husband premiered in Denmark on DR2.
Penguins: Spy In The Huddle premiered on PBS in the USA
The BBC announced that there would be a second series of W1A, although David’s participation was not confirmed at this stage.

Charity & Campaigns


Charity Anno’s Africa began a massive celebrity auction that included a Broadchurch script signed by David.

David showed his support for the United Nations #HeForShe campaign for equality, following Emma Watson’s speech
