Broadchurch
The official Broadchurch novel was released. Hachette Audio UK released a clip from the Broadchurch audio book read by Carolyn Pickles. Writer Erin Kelly revealed that a clue to the plot of the second series was hidden in the novel.
Filming continued on the second series and David was
photographed on set at West Bay. Ólafur Arnalds announced that he would be starting work on the
soundtrack to the new series.
Gracepoint
FOX released some new teaser TV stings to promote the new series. The Global Network confirmed that the Canadian
premiere of Gracepoint would be 2nd
October, in line with the USA, and released their own trailer. A new
promo clip focused on the two detectives Emmett Carver and Ellie Miller.
David talked about how thrilled he was to be part of the new series.

What We Did On Our
Holiday
Promoters Lionsgate released some new promotional photos from What We Did On Our Holiday. David
talked about working with Billy Connolly and he and co-star Rosamund Pike praised the young actors from the film.
Doctor Who
To celebrate the arrival of Peter Capaldi as the Doctor, BBC
America launched a Doctor Who takeover week,
including David’s episodes. Peter Davison hosted two new Doctor Who specials, The Ultimate Companion and The Ultimate Time Lord with contributions from David. Peter Capaldi revealed that David had given him advice over taking on the role of the Doctor.
The second issue of Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor from Titan Comics was released
TV
The Politician’s
Husband premiered on BBC First in Australia.
BBC America aired the final part of The Real History Of Science Fiction on Time featuring a contribution from David.
Film
Nottage Productions announced that David was to be one of the
stars of their new animated feature Reds And Grays,
a romantic comedy about squirrels.
Postman Pat: The Movie
premiered in Australia.
Miscellaneous
David won the Radio Times TV Champion vote from a total of 128 celebrities. In celebration of his victory, Radio Times featured some previously unseen photos of him.
