April 2014
Broadchurch
Broadchurch continued to air in Austria and Canada, and the
series premiered in Denmark. New Zealand’s TV ONE released a trailer for their own broadcast.
The series was awarded a prestigious Peabody Award, an
American award which honours excellence in broadcasting and media. Broadchurch and its star Olivia
Colman were nominated for British Academy TV awards;
David was, to the disappointment of many fans of the show, passed over. Broadchurch was nominated for the Radio Times Audience Award at the BAFTAs.
Postman Pat: The
Movie
A second trailer for the animated feature starring David with Stephen Mangan and Rupert Grint was
released.
Doctor Who
David contributed to the Doctor Who special A Farewell To Matt Smith which aired on Good Friday.
Doctor Who was
nominated for the Radio Times Audience Award at the BAFTAs.
The Day Of The Doctor was nominated
for the Best Of British award at the Freesat Awards
TV
The final two episodes of W1A aired on BBC Two
Italian audiences had a chance to watch David in the 2012
episode of Playhouse Presents, The Minor
Character which premiered on Sky Arte.
Charity
David launched the Headway Essex Hat 4 Headway campaign to raise funds for the charity supporting people with acquired brain injuries.
