CANADA: Broadchurch Returns To Showcase For Season 2

Canadian broadcasters Shaw Media have unveiled their Winter 2015 schedule and have confirmed that the second season of Broadchurch will return to Showcase in January. The award winning UK series premieres on ITV also in January, so it appears that Canada will be able to view the series shortly after the UK broadcast.

Coming this January, the #1 specialty drama of last summer, Broadchurch, returns. Starring David Tennant (Doctor Who, Gracepoint) as Detective Inspector Alec Hardy and Olivia Coleman (Hot Fuzz, The Iron Lady) as Detective Sergeant Ellie Miller, season two explores how the town copes after the tragedy of Danny Latimer's murder.  

Season 2 also sees the return of Arthur Darvill, Jodie Whittaker and Andrew Buchan alongside new cast members Charlotte Rampling, Eve Myles, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Meera Syal, James D'Arcy and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. The story is thought to pick up shortly after the close of Season 1, though writer Chris Chibnall is once again giving no information away.

The eight-part series Broadchurch is produced by Kudos and Imaginary Friends for ITV and is distributed by Shine International.
