It's Spy Week on BBC America and to celebrate the station are giving viewers in the USA the chance to stream the two-part wartime thriller Spies Of Warsaw starring David Tennant and Janet Montgomery.
It's all in celebration of the launch of the new six-part espionage series The Game, created by Toby Whithouse and starring Brian Cox. The series premieres tomorrow night on BBC America at 10/9c. Also on offer to view for free is the first part of Fleming:The Man Who Would Be Bond, starring Dominic Cooper.
Spies Of Warsaw
In the years leading up to the Second World War, French and German intelligence operatives are locked in a life-and-death
struggle on the espionage battlefield.
At the French embassy, the new military attaché, Colonel
Jean-Francois Mercier (David Tennant), a decorated war hero of the 1914 war, is
drawn into a world of abduction, betrayal and intrigue in the diplomatic salons
and back alleys of Warsaw.
At the same time, the handsome aristocrat finds himself in a
passionate love affair with Anna (Janet Montgomery), a Parisian lawyer for the
League of Nations. Their complicated love affair intensifies as German tanks
drive through the Black Forest.
The series is written by Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais,
adapted from the novels of Alan Furst. The series was co-produced by BBC Four, BBC America, TV Poland and ARTE France.
