What We Did On Our Holiday Steady At UK Box Office



The BBC Films comedy What We Did On Our Holiday had another steady week at the UK box office, putting on around another £300,000 to bring its gross box offices receipts up to £3.7 million ($5.9 million). The film went on gebneral release in the UK and Ireland on Friday 26th September.

Written and directed by Guy Jenkin and Andy Hamilton, What We Did On Our Holiday follows a family in crisis on a fraught trip to Scotland. David Tennant and Rosamund Pike play divorcing couple Doug and Abi McLeod who temporarily agree to put on a united front in order to celebrate the 75th birthday of Doug's father Gordie (Billy Connolly) in the Highlands. Their three lively kids are under instructions to keep the split a secret, but when the unexpected happens can Doug and Abi and the rest of the clan pull together to save what they hold most dear? 


The UK Box Office was topped this week by newly released war drama Fury, debuting at £2.7m ($4.4m) and pushing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles into second place. The third spot was held by Rosamund Pike's other current feature Gone Girl.

What We Did On Our Holiday will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on Monday 26th January 2015.
