US Live +3 Ratings Boost Gracepoint Viewers Over 6 Million

According to figures quoted by FOX TV today, the Live +3 figures for the second episode of Gracepoint showed an enormous jump of 45%.

The Live +3 figures represent viewers watching recorded episodes or catching up on line for the three days following the original broadcast. Gracepoint was watched by 3.8 million live on Thursday night, and had a rating of 0.9 18-49 adults. The new figures raise this to an audience of 6.6 million.

Gracepoint has been one of the new Fox shows, along with Mulaney and Red Band Society said to be most in danger of cancellation; however the new figures certainly give hope of a reprieve, as long as the new viewers remain hooked to this thrilling show.

Gracepoint is a gripping crime series following the tragic and mysterious death of a young boy found dead in a picturesque seaside town. When the body of twelve-year old Danny Solano is found on an idyllic beach, a major police investigation gets underway in the small California seaside town where the tragedy occurred. Soon deemed a homicide, the case sparks a media frenzy, which throws the boy's family into further turmoil and upends the lives of all of the town's residents.

David Tennant and Anna Gunn star as Detectives Emmett Carver and Ellie Miller who are leading the hunt for the killer. The cast also includes Nick Nolte, Jacki Weaver, Virginia Kull and Michael Peña.

Watch episode 3 of Gracepoint at 9pm ET/PT on FOX TV on Thursday 16th October.
