Strong First Weekend For What We Did On Our Holiday At UK Box Office



David Tennant's new movie What We Did On Our Holiday made an impressive start at the UK box office over its opening weekend, earning £811,087 from 448 sites. It was fourth placed in the overall chart, behind animated feature The Boxtrolls, the new Denzel Washington blockbuster The Equalizer and the live event screening of Billy Elliott: The Musical.

BBC Films' What We Did On Our Holiday is the first feature film from Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin, the creators of Outnumbered. The movie also stars Rosamund Pike, Billy Connolly and Ben Miller and follows a family in crisis on an event-packed trip up to Scotland to celebrate a family birthday.
