David Tennant Nominated For British Academy Scotland Award

David Tennant has been nominated in the Television Actor category of this year's British Academy Scotland Awards for his role in the BBC drama The Escape Artist.

David played Will Burton, a talented junior barrister who specialises in spiriting people out of tight legal corners, hence his nickname of “The Escape Artist”. Will is in high demand as he has never lost a case. But when his talents acquit the prime suspect in a horrific murder trial, that brilliance comes back to bite him with unexpected and chilling results.
The drama aired on BBC One in October 2013.

The British Academy Scotland Awards are held annually to recognise, honour and reward individuals for outstanding achievement in Scotland.
David will be up against Mark Bonnar (Line Of Duty) and Douglas Henshall (Shetland) for the award.

The show's writer David Wolstencroft is also nominated in the Writer Television / Film category.

The winners will be announced in a ceremony held on Sunday 16th November at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow.
