In November 2011, David Tennant took a day off from shooting Nativity 2 to co-host the Children In Need Rocks concert at the Manchester's MEN Arena (now known as the Phones 4 U Arena), a massive live extravaganza organised by Take That star Gary Barlow. Along with co-hosts Chris Moyles and Fearne Cotton, David introduced some of the biggest stars of the music industry to a sell-out crowd, including Lady Gaga, Ed Sheeran, JLS, Snow Patrol, Coldplay, Jessie J, Andrea Bocelli, Hugh Laurie and, of course, Gary himself. The concert was simulcast on BBC One and on BBC Radio 1.
