Gracepoint
When a young boy is found dead on an idyllic beach, a major
police investigation gets underway in the small California seaside town where
the tragedy occurred. Soon deemed a homicide, the case sparks a media frenzy,
which throws the boy's family into further turmoil and upends the lives of all
of the town's residents. Welcome to Gracepoint, a new 10-episode mystery event
series based on Broadchurch, the UK's critically acclaimed hit
crime drama. David Tennant and Anna Gunn star as Emmett Carver and Ellie Miller, the detectives leading the investigation into the murder; other cast members include Nick Nolte, Jacki Weaver, Jessica Lucas, Kevin Zegers and Michael Peña. The producers of the show, which include Broadchurch creator Chris Chibnall, have stated that the remake will include new plot twists and a new ending.
Gracepoint premieres on Fox on Thursday 2nd October at 9pm/8c. It also airs at the same time on the Global Network in Canada and on Friday 3rd October at 8.30pm on the Universal Channel in Canada.
