AUSTRALIA: Spies Of Warsaw Repeated On UKTV

Australian viewers will have another opportunity to enjoy David Tennant's 2013 wartime drama Spies Of Warsaw  from next Saturday.

The mini-series, written by Ian La Frenais and Dick Clement, based on the novels of Alan Hurst, stars David as Colonel Jean-François Mercier, the new military attaché at the French embassy in Warsaw in the period before the outbreak of World War 2. Also working as a spy, Mercier identifies suspicious German movements on the Polish borders. His attempts to have his claims taken seriously by his superiors are further complicated when he falls in love with a beautiful Parisian lawyer, played by Janet Montgomery.

Watch episode 1 on Saturday 27th September at 11.30pm on UKTV.

Spies Of Warsaw was a joint production between BBC Four, TV Poland, BBC America and ARTE France. The series also stars Burn Gorman, Anton Lesser and Marcin Dorocinski. Read more on our website.
