On Thursday 14th August the official novel of Broadchurch will be published in the UK.
Inspired by the first season of the BAFTA award-winning ITV
series, the official, unmissable Broadchurch novel takes you inside the
minds and motivations of the unforgettable cast of characters. The book has
been written by Erin Kelly, author of critically acclaimed psychological
thrillers including The Poison Tree and The Ties that Bind, in creative collaboration
with Chris Chibnall, the creator, writer and executive producer of the series.
To celebrate the release, publishers The Little, Brown Book Group have set up a special Broadchurch Beacon Blogger Tour where a hand-picked selection of news and reviews sites will be giving you their thoughts on the book. The tour runs from Monday 11th to Sunday 24th August. We're delighted to have been chosen to be part of this and to have the opportunity to bring our review to over 2 million David Tennant fans when it is published on Tuesday 12th August!
See below for the schedule of blogs and where to find them - and don't forget to look out for a couple of exclusive guest blogs by Erin Kelly herself.
Broadchurch: The Novel
It's a hot July morning in the Dorset town of Broadchurch
when Beth Latimer realises that her eleven-year-old son, Danny, is missing. As
Beth searches desperately for her boy, her best friend, local police officer DS
Ellie Miller, arrives at work to find that the promotion she was promised has
been given to disreputable Scottish outsider DI Alec Hardy.
When Danny's body is found on the beach Ellie must put her
feelings aside as she works with DI Hardy to solve the mystery of Danny's
death. As the case becomes a murder investigation the news hits the national
press, jolting sleepy Broadchurch into the national spotlight.
As the town's secrets begin to unravel, members of this
tight-knit community begin to consider those in their midst. Right now it's
impossible to know who to trust...
