VIDEO: David Tennant On Filming Gracepoint In Victoria

David Tennant features in a new video clip, exclusively posted by TV news site Give Me My Remote, in which he tals about filming the new FOX TV ten part event series Gracepoint in Victoria, BC.

The series was adapted from the UK drama Broadchurch in which David also stars. Critics, cast and viewers alike of the original series have said that the stunning West Country scenery was as much a star of Broadchurch as the actors themselves and the makers of Gracepoint were keen to get the setting right for the remake.

“You need the location to be just right,” says David Tennant, who plays Emmett Carver, the detective leading the investigation into the murder of a boy in a small coastal community. “Gracepoint, the place, is very much a character in the piece. It’s the story of a small town, as much as it’s the story of a murder investigation…I think Victoria [B.C.] has afforded us some fantastic locations.”

Gracepoint, which also stars Anna Gunn, Nick Nolte, Jacki Weaver and Kevin Zegers, will premiere on FOX TV as part of the Fall 2014 season. The series follows the effect on a small seaside town in Northern California when the body of a local boy is discovered on the beach. Under the pressures of the police investigation and national press scrutiny, suspicion and paranoia grows among the locals and the little community starts to fall apart.
