Arthur Darvill may be on a short break from shooting the second series of Broadchurch, but he still took time to talk about the show and say how well filming was going in conversation with entertainment and pop culture site The Iris. Arthur is currently in Melbourne, Australia to attend this weekend's Oz Comic Con, but he will be back in the UK to resume filming duties towards the end of next week.
“It’s going really well,” he said of the Broadchurch shoot. “It’s all very
surprising and it’s nice to be back with everyone actually. It’s such a huge
cast and it’s kind of odd because we all film our little bits and then we don’t
really see each other, we’re in these little groups at the moment. It’s good,
it’s really good.”
Arthur, who returns as the town vicar Paul Coates is one of a number of familiar faces back for the second series of the award winning drama. David Tennant, Olivia Colman, Andrew Buchan, Jodie Whittaker, Joe Sims and Jonathan Bailey are also returning, with exciting new cast additions including Charlotte Rampling, James D'Arcy and Eve Myles. However, series creator Chris Chibnall has insisted once again on complete secrecy so news and information from the set is under tight wraps. Work continues in the West Country on Broadchurch 2 for the next three months and it is thought to be coming to TV screens early next year.
