The latest issue of TV Choice magazine has been published today and includes the launch of the 18th TV Choice Awards. The awards are decided by the TV viewers themselves via an online vote which starts today. The first stage is the longlist vote which is open until midnight on June 20th, following which the shortlist will be announced in TV Choice magazine in the 2nd July issue.
David Tennant is nominated for the 2014 Best Actor Award for his performance as Will Burton in The Escape Artist. His co-star Ashley Jensen is also longlisted. The Escape Artist is listed in the Best New Drama category and spoof documentary W1A, which David narrated is up for Best Comedy.

David won the Best Actor Award last year for his performance as DI Alec Hardy in Broadchurch, while the series itself won Best New Drama. A special award was also given to Doctor Who in its 50th year.
The TV Choice Awards winners are usually announced around September.
