ITV have released a new trailer promoting their brand new channel, ITV Encore, which launches exclusively on Sky on June 9th.
ITV Encore will give audiences another chance to discover or rediscover some of the best ITV drama of recent years. The first new ITV channel launch for eight years, ITV Encore and its content will be available across all of Sky's viewer platforms, including on-demand, catch up and online services. The launch represents the beginning of a four-year partnership between ITV and Sky.
Dramas featured in the new trail for viewers to look forward to from next month include Downton Abbey, Mrs. Biggs, Lucan, Vera, Whitechapel and, of course, the multi-award winning crime drama Broadchurch starring David Tennant and Olivia Colman.
ITV's chief executive Adam Crozier said, “ITV’s brilliant dramas contributed to a fantastic on-screen performance last year - we had three out of the top five dramas in 2013, which helped us increase our share of viewing on the main channel for the first time in a decade.
“The time is absolutely right to build on our successful
partnership with Sky with the launch of ITV Encore, which will be an important
part of ITV’s family of channels, and will complement ITV3, home to our
long-running, classic drama series."
