The BBC TV legal thriller The Escape Artist, written by David Wolstencroft and starring David Tennant, is repeated on WOWOW in Japan later tonight. All three episodes will be shown back-to-back, starting from 11.30pm.

ロンドン。優秀な法廷弁護士ウィルは裁判で負けたことがなく、“無罪請負人”の異名を取る。私生活では妻ケイトや幼い息子ジェイミーと幸福に暮らしていた。
そんな彼に、ある殺人事件で容疑がかかったリアムを弁護する案件が舞い込む。「誰にでも弁護を受ける権利がある」という信条のもと弁護を引き受けるウィル。どこか異常な面があるリアムに対し、本当に無罪なのかを疑いつつも、ウィルは検事の主張する証拠に不備を見つけ無罪判決を勝ち取る。
その後、リアムから握手を求められるも、ウィルは彼の殺人容疑への疑念が晴れておらず、それを拒む。これをきっかけに異常者のリアムからウィルは家族を執拗に狙われてしまう。ウィルになす術はないのか。果たしてウィルは家族を守ることはできるのか……。

London. The highly skilled criminal defence lawyer Will
Burton has never lost a case, hence the nickname of "the escape
artist". He lives happily with his young son Jamie and wife Kate.
It falls to him to defend Liam, the suspect in an horrific
murder. Will takes the case because of his belief that "everyone is
entitled to a defence". But even he doubts whether Liam is really
innocent. Will wins an acquittal due to errors in the evidence produced by the
prosecutor.
Then, still suspicious that Liam is guilty of the murder,
Will refuses to shake his hand. In the wake of this Liam begins relentlessly to
target his family. Is Will helpless, or can he find a way to defend his
family...?
