David Tennant and Anna Gunn have been talking about their new FOX TV series Gracepoint today at the TV Upfronts in New York. David explained why he chose to sign up to star in the American remake of his UK hit series Broadchurch, and why he believes it will be a success in the US.
“A good story is a good story,” he said. “Wherever that
story lands, people will be drawn to it and will want to come back for more
“I think this is a very universal story. People will want to
come back and find out what happens. It’s as simple as that. Good writing is
good writing, and I think this is extremely good writing.”

Gracepoint will première on FOX as part of the Fall 2014 season. It will air on Thursday nights at 9pm ET/PT. The ten part series is a remake of the award winning UK series Broadchurch. David Tennant once again plays the lead investigator into the murder of a child, but this time the action is transferred to a sleepy north Californian community and his character is American. Anna Gunn plays Detective Ellie Miller.
