AUDIO: Arkangel Shakespeare's The Comedy Of Errors Starring David Tennant Now Available As A Download

The Arkangel Shakespeare recording of The Comedy Of Errors starring David Tennant as Antipholus of Syracuse has now joined the schedule of releases of the series on MP3 downloads.

The recordings were made as part of a massive undertaking to produce a series of unabridged dramatised productions of all 38 of Shakespeare's plays which began in 1998. Almost 400 actors, nearly all past or present members of the Royal Shakespeare Company, were involved across all of the productions. The cast of The Comedy Of Errors also includes Brendan Coyle, Niamh Cusack and Sorcha Cusack. The recording was produced by Bill Shepherd and Tom Treadwell and directed by Clive Brill.

David Tennant later reprised the role of Antipholus of Syracuse on stage for the Royal Shakespeare Company production in 2000.

The Comedy Of Errors
Chaos and confusion mount to a crescendo in a wild and fast-paced comedy of mistaken identity, one of Shakespeare's earliest plays.
Young Antipholus of Syracuse is searching the world for his identical twin brother, separated from him at birth. With him is his servant Dromio, who lost his twin brother at the same time. The pair arrive in Ephesus where, unbeknownst to them, their twins are living.
