Viewers in the USA are able to celebrate the 450th anniversary of William Shakespeare's birth by watching the 2009 film of Hamlet starring David Tennant and Sir Patrick Stewart for free courtesy of PBS.

The Royal Shakespeare Company production of Hamlet directed by Gregory Doran was performed in Stratford-upon-Avon and London from 2008-9. In 2009, the principal cast reassembled to reprise their roles for a film of the production, produced by Illuminations for the BBC.
