Celebrating Shakespeare's 450th Birthday: Much Ado About Nothing Starring David Tennant And Catherine Tate

In celebration of the 450th anniversary of William Shakespeare's birth today we'll be taking a look back at some of David Tennant's finest Shakespeare-inspired moments.

In 2011, David joined forces again with his Doctor Who co-star Catherine Tate to stage Much Ado About Nothing at Wyndham's Theatre in London. The play also starred his good friend Adam James, with Tom Bateman, Sarah McRae, Alex Beckett, Jonathan Coy and Elliott Levey. The production ran from mid-May to early September and performances in the closing week were recorded and released as a digital download by Digital Theatre

Much Ado About Nothing
Two young lovers Claudio and Hero are to be married imminently but the devious scheming of a resentful Prince looks set to thwart the nuptials. Meanwhile, marriage seems inconceivable for reluctant lovers Beatrice and Benedick whose endless witty sparring threatens to keep them apart forever.
