Netflix will be streaming the first five seasons of Star Wars: The Clone Wars from today. They picked up the animated series after Lucasfilm and Cartoon Network announced that they would be ending their partnership on the show last year.
The episodes offered include David Tennant's Emmy winning performance as droid Professor Huyang, and special director's cut installments of existing episodes.
Netflix will also be hosting the premiere of 13 brand new episodes to conclude the series.
Announcing the new agreement, Netflix head Ted Sarandos said: "Star Wars is one of the most iconic franchises of all time and this series joins a long line of Disney content that Netflix members are and will continue to enjoy for years to come. The Clone Wars marks an important moment as Netflix welcomes more and more first-run content from The Walt Disney Company and its subsidiaries."
David Tennant appeared as Huyang in the season 5 episodes A Test Of Strength and A Necessary Bond. Other notable guest stars have included George Takei, Liam Neeson and Simon Pegg.
