The award winning series Broadchurch written by Chris Chibnall and starring David Tennant and Olivia Colman starts tonight on NRK1 in Norway from 22.10.

Den lille
byen Broadchurch i Sør-England er klar for turistenes inntog i juli, da elleve
år gamle Danny Latimer funnet død på stranden. Politietterforskerne Ellie
Miller (Olivia Colman) og hennes kollega Alec Hardy (David Tennant) blir satt
på saken. Samarbeidet mellom Ellie og Hardy er anspent fra begynnelsen av, de
to er rake motsetninger.
Dannys foreldrene tar nyheten svært tungt, og sorgen brer om
seg i hele lokalsamfunnet. Mysteriet om det tragiske dødsfallet blir enda
vanskeligere å finne svar på med presset fra media. Det hersker også en spesiell
stemning i lokalsamfunnet, hvor det virker som om til og med politietterforsker

The small town of Broadchurch
in Southern England is ready for tourists'
arrival in July, when eleven year old Danny Latimer is found dead on the beach.
Police investigators Ellie Miller (Olivia Colman) and her colleague Alec Hardy
(David Tennant) are put on the case. Cooperation between Ellie and Hardy is
tense from the start as the two are complete opposites.
Danny's parents take the news very hard, and grief is
spreading throughout the community. It becomes even harder to find answers
about the tragic death under the scrutiny of the media. There is a particular
atmosphere in the community, where it seems that even police detective Ellie’s
son has something to hide…
